Recently I spotted a new addition outside a familiar café I frequent...the owner of the café explained....
There was gentleman who was a regular at the café for years and years, sitting outside holding court among the ladies who lunched, bicyclists who stopped for their morning coffee, children after school, etc. His nickname was "Tiny Ted" and he was a happy soul...often surprising diners by anonymously picking up their tabs...just for the fun of it! He was genuinely loved by all in the community...
Tiny Ted recently passed away and his family decided that a fitting memorial was to install a drinking fountain that was designed for both humans and our four-legged friends...right outside the café on the wall next to all the tables....
so he can still hold court...for years and years to come....and still "pick up the tab" for anyone who is thirsty...
Lovely, right?
Have a wonderful weekend... because what a wonderful world it is indeed!
XO Emily
That is one of the nicest things anyone could do for someone who passes on. So meaningful! Beautiful memorial!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect ... I love this and it makes me think "Tiny Ted" had a mighty big heart! xo
