As I have mentioned frequently recently, I am in a "refreshing" mode within my home. I am specifically "refreshing" my living room and family room and I when I am in the mode I often look to flea markets, antique and boutique stores for inspiration.... as well as for additions... to the design scheme I happen to be currently working on....
I am fortunate that I have a son who is as excited by the " hunt" as I am... so off we went bright and early this morning to some of our favorite spots....My son said he had a feeling that "today is going to be our day"....and his instincts were right on the money! Here is some of our "loot"...
I styled it up a bit (quickly in my empty living room) with two other items purchased today...the silver tray with center monogram (scored two matching) and a gold inlaid silver shell dish..
I have been looking for a specific kind of hide (long hair with a sheen) in a neutral palate...this was large and perfect...laid out here just for show...not in the room yet!
These silver monogrammed trays are magnificent! Perfect in so many ways...the picture doesn't really do them justice!
Another wonderful find...a very heavy ornate silver tray!
We got really excited with this purchase....a wonderful antique silver tea pot with an ivory topper...
We found 12 of these clear plates with gold trim with the wonderful insignia...
This vase went with the collection and we had to have it...I can't wait to fill it with beautiful Summer flowers from my garden...
These glass cups are a beautiful shade of pink...found twelve...perfect for strawberry soup or a wonderful punch or even a white wine!
This wonderful glass decanter is very old but in great condition and is part of a pair that we purchased. I loved the collection of gold trimmed glasses that we found and put this this vignette together....
P.S. My son found these wonderful initials made out of old street signs that we added to his newly redesigned room!
We hope you had a wonderful weekend too!
What a score! I think the pink glasses are my favorite. Cheers!
