What I loved about today....

When I was watering the garden earlier this morning this wonderful little guest stopped by for a visit on a hydrangea! She stayed long enough for me to grab my iphone to snap a quick pic....

I have been on a quest to make my own coffee table for my family room... I found an antique door and my wonderful girlfriend Dawn found the bases (thank you so much Miss D)  so now I've been able to create the perfect new (but old) coffee table...LOVE!

 The room is still a work in progress...waiting on lamp shades that are being custom made, pillows and a few other essential items. I will do a final reveal when it all comes together but I was so excited about the coffee table I decided to post a preview...(or two)

Here I am this evening ( captured on Instagram- merci' Mademoiselle M) serving one of  my favorite Summer desserts...a warm Berry Peach Cobbler....homemade by moi this evening and served to dear friends to kick off the long weekend!! The garden is now open for entertaining which makes me very happy...spending evenings in our garden with wonderful company, fabulous tunes, a cracklin' fire and fresh delicious food and drink is what I LOVE!

I was also excited to receive my first delivery of farm fresh produce and grass fed meat and poultry items today....I couldn't believe how fresh and nicely presented everything was...I am set up for a weekly delivery from a new cooperative from local organic farms...I get to customize my order online every week... I was so inspired with all the fresh herbs, vegetables and lettuces and fruits...cooking was a delight this evening....
