This is the original wind vane that Thomas Jefferson installed on the ceiling of his porch in Monticello. Anyone with an appreciation of great design should make the trip to Monticello because you will be amazed by his vision and passion for great design. He is a kindred spirit!
We visited this past summer, and I loved all of the silhouettes adorning the walls. We were told that he made silhouettes of all of his guests. Isn't that a wonderful idea?
