Time as just gotten away from me since my last post... it's been a few weeks...but I have been busy traveling, event planning, boutique decorating and treasure hunting! All of which has provided me plenty of inspiration for Rue de Emily! On that note...
One of my favorite cities is Charleston, South Carolina. I love it's southern sophistication and polished panache! Recently I spent some time wandering the city and I fell in love all over again. I haven't been for many years and I think I appreciate it's charms even more now.
I'm a lady who can never resist a charming courtyard...walking the streets of Charleston just made me CRAZY for them in every shape and size...here is a very small sampling...
As I meandered through a winding alleyway I happened upon this church courtyard which held an overgrown cemetery...as I spoke to an older local gentleman...he informed me that the cemetery wasn't abandoned but groomed to look overgrown and a bit wild...just lovely!
Have a wonderful weekend! XO
Beautiful courtyards. I also found Charleston charming and enchanting! Wonderful city to walk and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat must be one of the prettiest cemeteries ever. I love all these courtyards - some of them look very English in style.
ReplyDeleteOh glad you have had some time to get inspired and have fun! Charleston, what can I say ... these courtyards are my idea of heaven!! xo
