Lakeside Living (and Loving) in Wisconsin...

My in-laws have a wonderful Summer home on a Caribbean blue colored lake in Wisconsin about an hour and a half from our house. It has become a tradition to ring in Father's Day with some fishing, swimming, barbecuing, kayaking, boating, etc...all the wonderful things that lakeside living provides! It is a very special and serene spot which we love to visit! Thank you Nancy and Ken for a wonderful day! XO

The day began with a Regatta....

and the race is on.....

I love the color and texture of the dock against the water...

The color of the water is literally turquoise blue....

The view from the house...

The view from the boat coming in from a cruise...

This wall is very old and very large...and in great shape...

I have a "thing" for old stone walls...they are just fabulous!

A nice spot to sit down by the dock...

Which is prettier...I can't decide the sky or the lake?

The property has two outbuildings that are really interesting as well as functional...this one being a boathouse...circa 1930ish...with a fun hang out space above the boat storage...

Turquoise even finds it way into the boathouse...one of my favorite colors...loving the table too!

There are huge trees all over the property which I love...

The entire bottom of the home and the chimney are faced with these graphic stones...

                   A secret path...always charming...

Holy Hosta Batman!!

One of my favorite views from the boat...love the sparkle!

  2. Wow, that water is truly a spectacular color. This is picture perfect. Who cooks the fish?

  3. No cooking...they throw them back in the water right away (thank goodness).
