Last Christmas...

It was super fun (and a lot of work) having our home photographed last January for
Better Homes and Gardens Christmas issue this year.

This is one of my favorite images that didn't make the issue!

In a previous post I featured some actual pages from the magazine (click here). Before I start blogging about this year's decorating daze... I thought it would be fun to share a few more photographs on how things looked last year....I am always mixing things up year to year...so stay tuned for this year's festivite fare!

I am looking forward to adding these photographs to a photo book that I am going to put together for both of my children... chronicling all the different Christmas decorations that have enhanced the festivities in our home during the holidays... throughout their childhood...I plan to add tidbits about our favorite Christmas memories and traditions. Of course I am going to make a copy for myself too...one can never have too much Christmas spirit lying around the house for a quick browse anytime of the year!

  1. Emily, I just saw your house in the December issue of BHG and it is gorgeous! I love your Xmas decorations - so inspired! I wonder if you could share where you got your woven wood blinds in your family room and the exact color? Do they let any light in? I have been searching high and low for blinds for my kitchen and can't make a decision. Thanks!! And Happy Thanksgiving! Abby
