Antiques and Garden Fair, Chicago Botanic Garden

Well, in typical fashion the weekend of the 12th annual Antiques and Garden Fair rang in with blustery and damp conditions. Luckily for attendees "The Garden" does a magnificent job of tenting the grounds in order to keep weather a non-factor (the only down side- tricky photography as the lighting is less than ideal). The three day event kicked off Thursday evening and features more than 100 exhibitors ( selling fine furnishings, botanical art, vintage antiques and accessories and garden elements) from the US and Europe. I did a quick tour and here is an even quicker photolog! Happy Saturday!

stayed tuned for Part Deux tomorrow!!

  1. Hi,

Wonderful collection of antiques and garden. I like the way you mixed antiques things with the garden. I wish I could buy that hanging night lamp for my garden.

    Regards,
    Brenda.

  2. When I stepped into the showroom, I felt like I was in Provence.
The scent of lavender and the sound of running water from the antique limestone fountain along with the incredible selection of French garden antiques were really impressive. If you are looking for very large garden ornaments, French planters, etc. this is the showroom to visit. A total of 15,000 square feet of the most incredible French garden antiques, French limestone fountains, fireplace mantels and the most selective collection of planters from France with immediate availability. Each piece feels real, the atmosphere is so calming and rural. A true and unique gem to be found in West Palm Beach! Their website is www.authenticprovence.com
