A traditional seasonal activity for us that began in recent years is a visit to the
Christkindlmarket in downtown Chicago. We bundle up and brave the Windy City weather and traffic for some true holiday cheer! The European style holiday market is open for about 6 weeks from Thanksgiving to just before Christmas. My favorite treat is the warm cinnamon pecans made fresh on site... but the real fun is in looking at all the wonderful ornaments and handmade crafts.

This looks like so much fun. I love the coo-coo clocks. We were able to buy one when we went to Germany. I am feeling much better about the price, now that I see those!
