Before and After Magazine... Photo Shoot!

Six years ago, a few years after we finished the addition on our 1920's charmer we were featured in Before & After Magazine...and for the first time in my life...as a "Cover Girl"...lol...as you can see above.

Here is the living room styled for the shoot within the magazine.

You can see how the room looked prior to the addition in the "before" shot. Windows were replaced by french doors that lead to the family room. Since my photos of the magazine are a bit fuzzy I have included the actual shots that were used...

 here's another angle...

and here is how the room looks today...it's fun to see how it's changed over the years...

Knowing me... in a few years it will change again...I love changing spaces...clearly!

Here is the family room back then...

and here it is today.... a couple of months ago...

and then I brought out the furry and fuzzy to warm it up a bit for Winter...

Our bedroom actually looks similar...the rug has been changed from an oriental rug to a white tightly bound wool rug. My master bath has also remained pretty intact except for continually changing accessories...my husband is grateful that moving showers and tubs isn't as easy as chairs and tables!

More pages from the magazine...

You can see the "before addition" shot  above when our hallway was a window overlooking the backyard...

The actual photographs...

The following pages highlight our kitchen addition and butler's pantry...

Here are some pics of the very awkward kitchen prior to the addition as you can see in these close ups of the "before"....

Here is the butler's pantry which makes a fabulous transition from the old part of the house to the new..

Within the magazine...

 and the actual photo...

I must say I still love my stove and spice storage cabinets that pull out conveniently next to the stove as you can see in this picture...

There were several rooms and photographs that they didn't end up using (as is often the case) but this one of our third floor guest room was a fave for me...
