My new friend Monsieur "S" lives and works in Galveston and has restored a few historic homes in his time...his latest project is a little gem that is perfectly suited for his bachelor life...he has such fabulous taste...he actually designs the interiors of commercial hotels and properties for a living so his talents come naturally... it's fun to see what he has done in his latest space...
This is a guy with a great sense of "joie de vivre" and the absurd...this is how "his Silliness" greeted us Saturday morning since we were all attending a "cowboy glitz" Mardi Gras party that evening!
Then things got serious...seriously stylish that is... as we entered his living room...
His newly redone kitchen...

even his wall music station has been styled to perfection....
I am coveting the wood toilet seat cover and that very well lit and large shower....in this house the ceilings are 14 ft....SIGH!
this is where I get speechless...I almost had to take that chandy off the wall and RUN...true LOVE! Notice how he made the wall moulding flow into a headboard design...GENIUS!
and now for the "Splendor in the
Grass"...to keep things low maintenance for his busy lifestyle and to not worry about keeping grass alive in the hot, hot Summers...he opted for a stylish crushed stone solution for his backyard.... and p.s. look at his clever "striping" with paint on the deck....
Here he is (sans wig)...such a lovely guy...with a truly lovely home to match....I hope you enjoyed the tour....
