Honing in on the Holidays

This is the week that I usually begin preparing for the holidays. As a working Mom I find that since I do not hosting Thanksgiving I can really make use of the time off after Thanksgiving to get ready for the Christmas season...which is when I do a lot of "hostessing"! Plus, if I am really honest...I am just way more into Christmas than Thanksgiving!

This past weekend I decided to get a jump start on organizing all the boxes of "baubles, bows and trimmings" and to creatively decide where I wanted to "go" this year with my decorations. I love taking items that I have collected over the years and giving them a new twist while adding a fun find or two...(Okay maybe three, four, twelve)...;)

Since I have been thinking "PINK" for awhile now (the obsession is not ebbing...just flowing free) I am definitely infusing that wonderful pop of color in my design scheme.

I also will continue with my love and use of White, Teal and Apple Green as well as a bit o'bling'....here is a sneak peak...

This year I am adding my vintage jewelry and using pink satin ribbon to create ornament bling!
I love a combination of vintage and new pink ornaments displayed in a white marble bowl in my entry hall....

This is one of my favorite holiday color combinations...I will never get tired of it....white, teal and apple green...that is the color scheme in my family room!

I am adding a bunch of crystals throughout my spaces....just lovely day and night!

I hope you will join me through the month of December as I get my holiday decorating groove on!

  2. The decorations you've shown are very pretty. My theme (every year!) for my tree is hearts. I also make my own with lovely little trinkets I have just lying around.
