Stella Bella!

Sometimes I marvel at a dog's life...specifically our dog Stella's life.  I watch her and the routine of her days...Mine have a rhythm too....but while I am leading a marching band she is ringing a little bell ( I mean that figuratively AND literally on her end...that is how she let's us know she needs to use the restroom outside)!

On my most hectic days I'm sometimes envious of her laissez-faire, happy-go-lucky life...in which, the biggest decision of her day is which spots around our maison and garden host the best potentials for naps!

For a girl with a pale complexion and a fondness for fur....Stella sure likes her Vitamin D...

.....even on very hot days!

She doesn't like all the beauty maintenance that comes with being a girl (and a bichon frise)... and only for special occassions does she do "bows"...

Her mother obviously didn't give her enough instruction on how to sit like a lady either....

She is very friendly and likes to greet sidewalk passersby...but gets insulted when they don't stop for a quick pat and chat!

By late afternoon life has just taken it's toll...

I think a dog's life is a lot longer than we think when days pass by this slowly and wonderfully! Happy Monday!

  1. My children used to say they just wanted to be a dog so they could nap all day!! These are precious!

  2. She's so cute! I'm trying to get my guy to sit for some pics of my ORC (because everyone loves interior design shots avec chien!) but since it has been such a dusty noisy place the last 2 months he really doesn't want anything to do with it. Wish me luck:) Perhaps if I bribe him with cheese?

  3. We have a bell that Buster rings, too. They have such great lives! However, we are the lucky ones to have them.

  4. Stella and I have so much in common ( both pale, white fur) - but she's much prettier! I've been reading various posts on your blog and it's great. I love the way you write and the stuff you write about.
