Along came Amie!

I am in awe of Amie! We met each other this week and I was immediately captivated by her charming personality and frankly, her  overall sparkle was infectious! We began discussing our creative pursuits (as we girls often do) and low and behold this is what lay before me. Amie is an extremely talented photoartist! She wears both the stylist and photographer "hat" on many of her shoots. Here is just a sampling. Amie's photography has graced the covers of many wedding and fashion magazines and advertising campaigns.

Her amazing work was recently recognized by The Knot Best of Weddings Magazine, who nominated her for “The Best Photographer in Chicago.”

Amie was born and raised in Thailand before emigrating to Chicago to work as a registered nurse in the ICU. She also worked in Health Care Management before leaving to pursue her passion for art and photography in 1993. Since then, Amie has made a name for herself for her amazing unique and beautiful photographic work.

As a female photographer and fashionista Amie knows "make up" and "fashion" and has the unique ability to both function as the stylist and photographer on her shoots. She is also a top notch photo editor.  She is a magnificent all-in-one artist!

Amie is one of only a few female photographers in the Chicago area that specializes in fashion, models, weddings, commercial photography and events. As a woman and a former ICU nurse, she considers herself a model advocate and a woman's woman. She loves to make women look and feel their best through her work.

She owns a full photography studio with a natural lake in her backyard in the suburbs of Chicago. All outdoor pictures found in her gallery (link below) were done mostly at her studio's backyard. Talk about homegrown talent!
